Ronald (Ronnie) Kray (24 October 1933 – 17 March 1995) and Reginald (Reggie) Kray (24 October 1933 – 1 October 2000) were infamous English organised crime figures and identical twin brothers from Haggerston. Operating mainly in Bethnal Green and the East End of London from the late 1950s to their arrest in 1968, they led the notorious gang known as the Firm, involved in murder, armed robbery, arson, protection rackets, gambling, and assaults. Achieving celebrity status in the 1960s, they socialised with London's elite, were captured by David Bailey's lens, and featured in television interviews.
